Fake Drake is becoming more than a temporary viral sensation. Since October of last year, Fake Drake, or Izzy, has been making public appearances and even making the big bucks to impersonate the Canadian rap star. Earlier, Fake Drake challenged real Drake to a $1 million celebrity boxing match. Now, he’s popped up again, but for an entirely different reason.
According to RapTV, Fake Drake also known as Izzy has been banned from Instagram for impersonating Drake. There have since been mixed reactions to the news, some people are claiming Drake got him banned. Someone commented, “Nah Drake banned him from IG,” while another said, “He gotta find a job now damn.”
Earlier this week, Fake Drake made headlines after he was signed for a celebrity boxing match. The Drake impersonator was booked a bout for an August 27th event. The stakes are enormous because if the impersonator fails, he will cease to impersonate the Canadian rapper.
Additionally, during a recent visit to the We In Miami podcast, Izzy challenged Drake to a boxing match for not just a million dollars, but also to be signed to OVO. Whether Drake will accept Izzy’s challenge, fans of the Canadian rapper will have to wait and see.
Although $1 million is probably not enough of a motivator to pull the actual Drizzy out of bed, there’s little doubt that he’d be content to watch his doppelgänger disappear on its own. Meanwhile, we will be on the lookout for more updates. Stay tuned to Thirsty for more updates.
