Israel Adesanya is undoubtedly one of the most established MMA fighters in all the UFC. He has a tremendous track record in the UFC and fans simply cannot get enough of him. He also plans on joining WWE in the future.
As previously reported, Adesanya defended his middleweight title against Jared Cannonier at UFC 276. Before the fight, he paid tribute to The Undertaker by coming out to The Deadman’s entrance theme while wearing his iconic hat.
He also had an urn in his hand, that had Cannonier’s name engraved on it. Adesanya said that paying tribute to The Undertaker made sense to him.
While speaking to BT Sport, Israel Adesanya made it clear that he plans on joining WWE later as it is something he has wanted for a long time. Many cross-over athletes have done well in WWE, and Adesanya might be another addition to that list.
”Definitely, that’s something I’ll try my hand at later on. Just for fun. I’m not saying it’s going to be a full-time job, but I’m definitely going to jump in the WWE or something along that line, just for the entertainment factor. I grew up, jumping off the couch, broke my arm doing shooting stars.”
Adesanya also previously made it clear that he wants his next fight to be against Alex Pereira. So, he’s obviously not done in the Octagon just yet. We’ll have to see whether he will make his way to WWE someday or not.
