Amber Heard and Johnny Depp’s legal drama is already over. While Johnny has moved on and is starting to enjoy his life, Amber is not. Amber just filed a fresh demand in front of the court.
According to Radar Online, Amber Heard and her attorneys have rushed back to court. She allegedly found an issue with one of the jurors who participated in her battle with her ex-husband Johnny Depp in a Virginia courtroom. The actress’ legal team submitted the shocking motion weeks after a jury found the actress liable for $15 million in damages.
Amber was found to have defamed her ex by fabricating false accusations about him assaulting her during their relationship, according to the jury. Johnny said that the allegations cost him his career and led him to be blackballed in Hollywood. The jury ultimately sided with Depp, but now Heard wants a new trial. Heard recently challenged whether Juror 15 “properly served on the jury” in her new motion.
She stated that Juror 15 was born in 1945, but he was clearly born later. She said, “publicly available information demonstrates that he appears to have been born in 1970.” Heard and her legal team said, “This discrepancy raises whether Juror 15 actually received a summons for jury duty and was properly vetted by the Court to serve on the jury.”
The actress claimed that if the person listed as Juror 15 was not the actual person on the jury summons, her “due process was compromised.”
“Here, the facts show Juror 15 was decades younger than the individual on the jury panel list, raising questions as to whether they were the same of different people.”
Her motion requests that the court conduct an urgent investigation into the issue. She stated that if it is determined that the court messed up, she wants to have a new trial. The Juror issue was only one of many arguments listed in the actress’s 53-page motion.
Johnny has yet to reply in court to Amber’s new tactic. Let’s see what happens. To get the latest updates, keep an eye on Thirsty.
