Travis Scott’s first night of his Astroworld concert in Houston led to the deaths of 10 people after the crowd could not be contained and fans were crushed. More than 300 other people also suffered injuries. Another later died from her injuries after being declared brain-dead. Scott also stopped a concert for the sake of fan safety, in a grim Astroworld reminder.
As revealed by footage obtained by TMZ, Travis Scott stopped his show on Monday night in Coney Island as fans put themselves in danger. This was nothing but a grim reminder of the Astroworld incident.
Travis opened for Meek Mill at the Coney Art Walls in Coney Island and performed at 8 PM. As the crowd was so packed, some fans had the bright idea of climbing up a lighting truss and dangling as they watched Travis. One of the fans was even in a Spider-Man costume, and he took to climbing as well.
Travis realized what was happening and stopped the show, as he ordered the fans to climb down from the truss. Thankfully, the fans complied, and the concert was resumed. We hope an incident such as Astroworld never happens again.
