Fans Want Elliot Page To Replace Ezra Miller As ‘The Flash’

As the controversy surrounding actor Ezra Miller continues, many fans are wondering what will happen to his character, The Flash. He’s a DCEU mainstay, and it was expected that he’d appear in more films in the coming years. It seems most likely that their role of Barry Allen will be recast moving forward.

Since the allegations have started to surface, Ezra Miller’s career as The Flash seems to be coming to an end. There has been lots of speculation about who will play the next Barry Allen. It seems that there are currently two top picks in the eyes of fans. The first of the top picks come as no surprise as fans suggest that Grant Gustin who plays Barry Allen in the Arrowverse version of The Flash should play Barry Allen in the DC Extended Universe.

The second of the top picks to play the Flash in the DCEU moving forward is Elliot Page. In recent days, following the release of The Umbrella Academy‘s third season on Netflix, Elliot Page emerged on social media as another popular choice.

Page worked on Fox’s X-Men in the past as Kitty Pryde, and he acted in James Gunn’s superhero satire film Super. That being said, Page is no stranger to the role of a superhero. Fans took to Twitter to share their opinion.

“Just want to take this moment to say Elliot Page would make a great Barry Allen, in case there’s ever a need to, you know, cast a new Flash, for whatever reason,” reads one popular post that’s been liked thousands of times.

“Elliot page could totally pull off Barry Allen flash when Ezra inevitably is fired, Don’t really see him as comic flash, but the Flash Snyder set up that seems to be continuing into the new movie could totally be Elliot,” another fan tweeted out.

While the casting is unlikely to change before the release of The Flash in 2023, for the time being, you can see Elliot Page working their magic in The Umbrella Academy season 3. Page will also voice a character in the upcoming show Ark: The Animated Series as part of an ensemble cast that also includes Gerard Butler, Michelle Yeoh, David Tennant, Karl Urban, Russell Crowe, and Jeffrey Wright.

Elliot Page is one of many recommendations for the Flash role. Fans are also behind casting Dylan O’Brien, Grant Gustin, and Liam Hemsworth for the iconic role. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens with Ezra Miller and what Warner Bros’ final decision is.
