Pat McAfee has been living his best life since retiring from the National Football League. The former punter launched a wildly successful podcast. From there, he parlayed his charismatic approach to broadcasting into a gig as a color commentator and occasional wrestler with WWE. Pat will be sticking with the company for a long time to come.
In a press release on their website, WWE touted Pat McAfee’s achievements with the company while announcing that he has signed a long-term contract extension. He famously wrestled Vince McMahon at WrestleMania 38. Currently, McAfee is involved in a storyline with Happy Corbin that looks to be leading to another in-ring contest.
“WWE today announced that Pat McAfee has signed a multiyear extension with WWE.
Since April 2021, McAfee has served as an analyst, alongside Michael Cole, for Friday Night SmackDown at 8 pm ET live each week on FOX.
The new pact will see McAfee entertaining the WWE Universe for years to come.
Earlier this year, McAfee delighted fans and lit up social media with a WrestleMania debut for the ages at AT&T Stadium in Dallas when battling Theory, Mr. McMahon, and even getting stunned by “Stone Cold” Steve Austin.”
Pat McAfee brings a unique energy to everything he does. His fans will be happy to hear that he’s sticking with WWE for the long haul. Happy Corbin might not be so thrilled.
