Jake Paul tried as hard as he could to save his doomed fight with Tommy Fury. After Fury had problems getting into the United States, Jake decided to move on. He soon began working on a deal to face Hasim Rahman Jr. so his fans would still have a bout to watch on August 6th.
Ultimately, it was decided that Jake Paul will square off against Hasim Rahman Jr on August 6th this year at Madison Square Garden. That being said, a future Fury vs Paul fight isn’t out of the question.
While speaking to TMZ Sports, Jake Paul made it clear he is open to squaring off against Tommy Fury after his match against Hasim Rahman Jr.
“I’m considering [fighting Fury] after August 6, but I want to fight at Madison Square Garden, and the show must go on whether or not Tommy Fury’s in the arena. I don’t wait for people. I don’t need to wait around. I have a responsibility to my fans to put on shows.”
We will have to wait and see how Jake Paul will fare against Hasim Rahman Jr next month. A lot of things have stood in the way of this fight. Perhaps Paul will face Fury in the future, if luck permits.
