The courtroom war between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard was settled weeks ago. Johnny walked away with a $15 million judgment after Amber was found to have defamed his character. Johnny Depp is now making headlines with a seven-figure donation to a children’s hospital foundation in Perth.
The 59-year-old actor raised almost $800,000 for various causes by selling NFTs. According to reports, Never Fear Truth, Depp’s NFT community, has given to the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, the Footprint Coalition, the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, and the Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation. The hospital foundation recently tweeted its appreciation to the community.
Thank you so much for your generosity in helping support PCHFWA and WA sick kids. These funds will make a significant impact in helping keep PerthChildrens world-class for our children and families.
Depp recently received a $ 15 million settlement after winning the trial, consisting of $ 10 million in compensatory damages and $ 5 million in punitive penalties. Amber Heard, on the other hand, was only successful in one of her three countersuit allegations and was given a compensatory damage award of $ 2 million. The Aquaman actor has asked her ex-husband for $100 million.
On June 1st, Depp prevailed in his defamation action against Heard. The “Aquaman” actor was found guilty of defaming Depp when she made references to her prior allegations of domestic abuse in a 2018 Washington Post op-ed, and she is now required to pay $10.35 million in damages to Depp, according to the jury’s verdict.
