Nick Jonas Assures That ‘All Is Good’ After Daughter Malti’s Health Scare

Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra welcomed their daughter, Malti, six months ago through surrogacy. Nick recently revealed his newfound parenting perspective. Now the Jonas Brother has now provided an update on his “amazing” daughter, Malti.

Malti is doing well after spending 100 days in the NICU following her premature birth. “[Malti] is amazing. It brings me a lot of joy,” the “Levels” singer exclaimed to Entertainment Tonight on Thursday. He also added, “All is good.”

Jonas also stated that having a daughter is “life-changing,” but he wouldn’t have it any other way. While Jonas was talking about his daughter, his wife, Priyanka Chopra, shared a new photo of the 6-month-old with her mother and best friend. “22 years and counting.. and now with our babies..love you @tam2cul,” Chopra captioned the photo in which Malti’s face is concealed.

Jonas and the “Quantico” star have kept their newborn’s identity a secret since her birth in January. Even after Malti was born, the couple kept their surrogacy news a secret.

“We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate. We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family.”

This Mother’s Day, the couple announced to their fans that Malti had been released from the NICU. Priyanka and Jonas posted it on Instagram. They shared it on Mother’s Day with an emotional message.

“On this Mother’s Day we can’t help but reflect on these last few months and the rollercoaster we’ve been on, which we now know, so many people have also experienced. After 100 plus days in the NICU, our little girl is finally home. Every family’s journey is unique and requires a certain level of faith, and while ours was a challenging few months, what becomes abundantly clear, in retrospect, is how precious and perfect every moment is. We are overjoyed that our little girl is finally home, and just want to thank every Doctor, nurse, and specialist at Rady Children’s La Jolla and Cedar Sinai, Los Angeles, who were there selflessly every step of the way. Our next chapter begins now, and our baby is truly a badass. Let’s get it MM! Mommy and Daddy love you.”
