Brock Lesnar dropped the WWE Championship to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 38 in a title unification match. It was a long time coming, as their feud had been developing for a long time prior to that. Frank Mir also doesn’t blame Brock Lesnar for doing the bare minimum in WWE.
The Beast returned last month on Friday Night Smackdown and destroyed Roman Reigns and The Bloodline. Lesnar is also one of the most legitimate athletes in the pro wrestling world, as he had massive success in the UFC, where he even won the UFC Heavyweight Championship.
While speaking on the latest edition of the Insight podcast, Van Vliet noted that Brock cut a promo after UFC 100 but does not really speak in WWE lately. Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Frank Mir then claimed that Brock Lesnar is just doing the “bare minimum” to cash a check and doesn’t blame him for it.
“I don’t know much about his [Brock Lesnar] pro wrestling, I don’t watch that often so I don’t know how bad he is at it. From what I understand listening to other people in the industry, he does the bare minimum of what he has to do to cash the check and I don’t fault him for that. We’ve all got to make money. I think he’s more naturally [a] fighter than he is a pro wrestler, so it is not his first love.”
Brock Lesnar will be facing off against The Tribal Chief for the titles at SummerSlam in a last man standing match. We’ll have to see who Roman Reigns’ future challengers will be if Reigns beats Lesnar once again.
