John Cena is one of the biggest stars associated with the WWE. The massive sports entertainer joined the DCEU in The Suicide Squad as Peacemaker. While the film did great, Cena managed to get his character a spin-off series from HBO Max.
James Gunn’s Peacemaker became a huge hit, as fans loved the morally confused and largely chaotic energy in Cena’s character. He was even nominated for an award for his role from the Hollywood Critics Association. It seems that John Cena will be stepping into the shoes of the sentimental sharpshooter once again.
Peacemaker is making a comeback for season 2, according to Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live. He reported that John Cena is working on Peacemaker season 2 in Canada.
Alvarez said that this is why Cena didn’t tease a match for SummerSlam on his last appearance on Monday Night RAW. Peacemaker is one of the strongest shows that the DCEU has ever made, and it has been immensely profitable for John Cena.
I can confirm that John Cena is out right now in Canada filming Peacemaker season two. So that’s why there were discussions of SummerSlam, and then he shows up on RAW and is like, ‘I’ll be back someday, I don’t know when, but someday. So apparently, he’s filming Peacemaker instead of doing SummerSlam.
John Cena recently appeared on Monday Night RAW to celebrate the 20th anniversary of his WWE main roster debut. Fans would have loved to see Cena take on the likes of Brock Lesnar or Drew McIntyre. However, it seems he has a different calling at the moment.
