Sydney Sweeney Incredibly Emotional After ‘Euphoria’ Role Snags Her Two Emmy Nominations

The Emmy Nominations were announced earlier this morning, and many favorites were stunned at what was announced. One actress utterly shocked at her nomination was 24-year-old Sydney Sweeney, who received two nominations for her work on HBO’s Euphoria.

The actress posted a short Instagram video of her reacting to her nomination. In the video, she appears in tears as her mom congratulates her during a brief phone call. Sweeney captioned the video with a heartfelt message.

what a morning! thank you so much to the @televisionacad for my emmy nominations! It’s an honor to know that both Olivia and Cassie have connected with so many. I’m so proud of both these shows and grateful to everybody that’s been apart of them.

Sweeney received a nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress In a Drama Series and Outstanding Actress In a Limited Series. Many of Sweeney’s co-stars, including Zendaya, congratulated the actress for her achievement. She will surely be all smiles at the 74th Emmy Awards, which will be broadcast live on September 12.
