Kevin Durant and Steph Curry were a dominant duo for the Golden State Warriors between 2016 and 2019. Two of the NBA’s all-time greats won a pair of NBA titles together with the team. After the 2019 season, Durant requested a trade and wound up a member of the Brooklyn Nets.

In June, Kevin Durant requested a trade from the Nets. Since then, the team has tried to deal him, but KD has blocked every attempted move. That has hindered Brooklyn’s ability to add or subtract players during a very important offseason.

One possible destination for Kevin Durant could be to return to the Warriors. According to a report by Fox Sports, a league source says that Steph Curry has reached out to Durant about a possible return. Steph is looking for his fifth championship, and KD could be the piece he needs to make it happen again.

“Then there are all the factions within the Warriors that would have to be on board with a reunion — not to mention Durant. A league source says Curry has reached out several times to Durant, eager to improve his chances of winning a fifth championship and surpassing LeBron James, with whom Curry is currently tied at four titles each.”

During a golf tournament near Lake Tahoe, Steph was asked about reuniting with his told teammate. He played it cool and said that rumors are normal in the NBA. Curry would not say whether he has contacted Durant.

The situation with Kevin Durant in Brooklyn is an absolute mess. If the team can move him and he doesn’t try to block the deal, it might be best for all parties involved. NBA fans could see one of the great dynamic duos once again reunite in the Bay Area.
