Ivana Trump, Donald Trump’s first wife, passed away on Thursday, July 14th. This was a truly shocking event, because she seemed fine right before her death. She also planned a big trip before her passing.
As previously reported, Donald Trump opened up about the death of his first wife and the mother of his three children. It was said that the NYPD got a call just after 12:30 PM ET, where it was said that Ivana had gone into cardiac arrest.
While speaking to Page Six, Ivana Trump’s best friend Nikki Haskell revealed that she was planning a trip to St. Tropez prior to her sudden passing.
“She was leaving for St. Tropez tomorrow. This was going to be her first trip away since the pandemic. She was afraid of getting the virus.
She was my best friend. I met her the night she met Donald [Trump]… I can’t even tell you how fabulous she was, just a great friend, and the most amazing, inspirational person.”
Nikki Haskell added Ivana Trump was “totally locked down” during the pandemic and “wouldn’t go anywhere” because she was so afraid of contracting COVID-19.
“She only walked from her house, to a restaurant next door, maybe one or two restaurants around the corner. That’s it.”
Nikki Haskell then revealed that Ivana Trump was finally ready to break out of her shell. In fact, the two planned on taking a trip around the world soon.
“We were contemplating taking a trip around the world this January — take two months off and take a trip around the world. I just can’t believe it.”
Haskell last saw Trump about three weeks ago when they had dinner at Primola on the Upper East Side. Ivana ended up divorcing two more times following her marriage to Donald Trump. We would like to offer our deepest condolences to Ivana’s family and loved ones during this sad time.
