Armie Hammer has been consistently shrouded in controversy in the last few years. The serious allegations against Hammer have left him with no job prospects in Hollywood. Now, he is apparently being supported by Robert Downey Jr.
It appears that years of ostracization have pushed Armie Hammer to the brink. He is dealing with unresolved trauma as well as ongoing substance abuse issues. According to a report by Vanity Fair, Robert Downey Jr. paid for Hammer’s six-month stay at Florida rehab facility, The Guest House.
Hammer’s stay at the rehab center began right after the shocking allegations of emotional and sexual abuse surfaced. As a recovering addict himself, RDJ is coming through for Armie Hammer. The Avengers star even had Hammer, Elizabeth Chambers, and their kids to stay at his house last week.
Hammer had to escape to LA as he was besieged by the press in the Cayman Islands. He was a target of media scrutiny after it was reported that he is working as a timeshare salesman on the Cayman Islands. The Call Me by Your Name star has been accused of rape, abuse and cannibalistic inclinations by multiple women he dated in the past. The weight of the allegations left Hammer with no where to go, however, he does have a few friends who are willing to support him through the rough patch.
RDJ’s representatives have not yet responded while Hammer’s attorney did not confirm or deny the report. As reported earlier, Armie Hammer is trying to keep a low profile by working as a timeshare salesman. Although Hammer is employed, it is a far cry from acting on a Hollywood set.
