Congratulations are in order as John Cena and Shay Shariatzadeh got married in presence of their close friends and family in Vancouver just 21 months after their courthouse wedding. Their marriage was already official, but they finally got to celebrate with close family and friends.
The ceremonial wedding looked to take place on Friday, July 15th. In the photograph obtained by TMZ Sports, John looked dashing in a navy blue suit and camel leather shoes as he led Shay inside the exclusive Vancouver Club. Shay looked stunning in a sleeveless white gown with an open back and floral appliqué accents, accessorized with a pair of dazzling Jimmy Choo shoes. For the fancy event, she wore her hair up in a classic updo.
After a year together, John and Shay were formally married on October 12, 2020, at a Hillsborough County, FL courtroom. According to camera footage aired by Tampa TV station WFLA on October 9th, 2020, only days before becoming husband and wife, the pair was shown picking up their marriage license.
The Blockers star has kept his relationship with Shay a well-guarded secret, especially following his public divorce from ex-fiancée Nikki Bella in April 2018. In an interview with Today in November 2019, John explained, “You know, every experience in life is a chance for us to know who we are and who we‘re not and just because I went down one avenue in life doesn’t mean I’m going to repeat going down that avenue.”
John, however, has not refrained from flaunting his love on the red carpet. John and Shay appeared on the red carpet for the Dolittle premiere on January 11, 2020, at the Regency Village Theatre in Westwood Village, California. The couple appeared to be really in love and gorgeous together!
