The Major League Baseball All-Star Game is an annual professional baseball game sanctioned by Major League Baseball and contested between the all-stars from the American League and National League. It is also known as the “Midsummer Classic.” During the recent game at Dodger Stadium, Anthony Ramos, who is known for his role in “In the Heights,” hit the award-winning “Breaking Bad” actor in the right shoulder.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, while practicing their swings in parallel temporary cages outside the ballpark, Grammy Award winner Anthony Ramos hit a line drive that smacked Cranston in the right shoulder. Cranston hoped to get a hit during the recent All-Star Celebrity Softball game. ‘Heisenberg’ was struck instead.
After lying on his back for a few minutes, the 66-year-old Cranston went to his neighboring trailer. Later, the winner of the Tony, Emmy, and Olivier awards was healthy enough to play on the field at Dodger Stadium. He took the third strike that was called and pretended to argue with the umpire.
Cranston was a member of the Los Angeles team that suffered a 15-13 defeat against Brooklyn. Hunter Pence, a former star of the San Francisco Giants, knocked two home runs for Brooklyn while receiving constant boos from the Los Angeles crowd.
In the series, Cranston wore an Albuquerque Isotopes hat in the scene where White first meets lawyer Saul Goodman. Cranston has attended a number of games for the Triple-A Isotopes, and on July 30 he will throw out the ceremonial first pitch alongside “Breaking Bad” co-star Aaron Paul.
