The Weeknd’s fame in the music industry has reached insurmountable heights. The singer recently had to postpone his Hours Til Dawn concert in Toronto due to a nationwide internet outage. This has left many fans heartbroken. Amid this Abel is doing his best to please his audiences.

The Canadian singer-songwriter’s postponed concert made one little boy extremely unhappy. The 6-year-old, Phoenix Prince, went viral on social media this week after weeping outside the Toronto venue where the artist was set to perform.

The Weeknd got wind of this and immediately attempted to contact the fan. The musician reposted the photo in which a devastated Prince is seen mimicking his hero by donning a crimson blazer and black tie.

The singer successfully managed to reach out to the fan and his family. Not only that but he also flew the young boy out to his Philadelphia concert at Lincoln Financial Field on Thursday. Prince’s father also shared the backstage photo of his son embracing his idol on Instagram and expressed his gratitude.

I wouldn’t be able to put this last week into words if I tried. We are forever grateful for this moment. We are beyond thankful to Abel and his beautiful crew for their friendship, hospitality, generosity and for spending day with Phoenix and I. He will cherish this experience forever. Thank you a million times over. xo

The Weeknd’s debut stadium gig in Toronto was rescheduled due to a nationwide phone and Internet outage. The event initially was set to take place at Rogers Centre, formerly known as the Sky Dome, on July 8th in Toronto. The singer will return to his hometown once things are right.
