Update: Tariq Cherif has now backtracked on his comments about Travis Scott performing.
Orginal: Travis Scott’s first night of his Astroworld concert in Houston ended in tragedy, leading to the deaths of 10 people after the crowd could not be contained and fans were crushed. More than 300 other people also suffered injuries. Another later died from her injuries after being declared brain-dead.
Several months on, Travis Scott continues to get a lot of flak because of the incident. In fact, he was under fire from Astroworld victims after he stopped a recent concert.
As previously reported, Kanye West pulled from Rolling Loud this year. No explanation was provided for his exit. In his place, Kid Cudi is now set to perform.
Many ticketholders expressed that they were far more interested in seeing Travis Scott perform. However, Rolling Loud founder Tariq Cherif made it clear in an Instagram comment that Scott didn’t replace West due to the Astroworld tragedy.

In April, Kanye also dropped out of Coachella as a headliner for the festival’s two weekends. It is not known why Kanye West decided to pull out of the event in the first place. Regardless, Travis Scott had no chance of ever performing there.
