Steph Curry is one of the best players in the history of the NBA and many fans agree with this. So many consider him the greatest shooter of all time as well. Stephen Curry recently claimed that before hosting the ESPY Awards later this month, Drake and Peyton Manning have given him advice.
Prior to hosting the 2022 ESPY Awards later this month, Stephen Curry claims to have consulted Peyton Manning and Drake for tips. The Golden State Warriors player recently discussed “a bucket list-type situation” with PEOPLE. Curry is all nervous and excited at the same time.
I’ve seen all the list of athletes and celebrities who’ve hosted it before, and seen how they’ve come with some fun, some entertainment, stuck to their personalities, and took some chances. I talked to Drake and Peyton Manning about what the hosting gig is really like, so I’m obviously nervous and excited and all the different emotions.
Curry avoided giving specifics about the event but made a suggestion that his wife, Ayesha, might attend the ceremony. Curry and Ayesha have prior experience hosting together, having earlier this year hosted the game show About Last Night on HBO Max. The Currys would invite famous couples to engage in relationship games and quizzes for the series to show who knew their partner the best.
In addition to being nominated for Best NBA Player, Best Male Athlete, and Best Record-Breaking Performance, Curry is also up for three other ESPY Awards during the event. The 2022 ESPY Awards are scheduled for this Wednesday, July 20 so stay tuned to Thirsty for latest news.
