Daniel Cormier holds a legendary status in the world of MMA. The star was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame last month in Las Vegas. He holds incredibly high regard even before he became a Hall of Famer. It seems that he could be looking at a career in WWE.
Cormier was part of the recent installment of Twitter Spaces with Monster Energy. While he opened up about a lot of things, one of the eye-openers was that he’s in contact with a lot of people from WWE.
The UFC legend is apparently friends with a lot of people from the company. He said that he speaks with Triple H and that one of the Creed Brothers is a great friend of his.
I actually talk to them quite a bit. I’m friends with a lot of people that are in that company. I speak to Triple H. I’ve got some friends that are competing. My brothers, not my actual brother, one of my friends, Jacob Kasper [Julius Creed], he’s part of the Creed Brothers.
Cormier apparently even received an offer to work with The Creed Brothers from NXT. As he’s friends with Julius Creed [Jacob Kasper], the angle could be well-worth his time. However, he added that his schedule doesn’t allow him to find time for it.
They are in the WWE and the NXT Champions, they are the smaller league champions. I’ve been asked a couple of times to do stuff with them for the promotion, but I haven’t been able to make it work. It’s something I want to do.
Daniel Cormier has had an incredible career in the UFC. The highlight of his career is usually considered to be his feud with Jon Jones and becoming a two-division champion. After the conclusion of his trilogy against Stipe Miocic, the former UFC star retired back in 2008. It would be interesting to Cormier in WWE, though it all depends on whether he finds the time for it or not.
