NBC Universal has teamed up with NASCAR to help promote WWE’s upcoming SummerSlam premium live event. Race fans who tune in to Sunday’s M&M Fan Appreciation 400 race will see an all-new design for Corey LaJoie’s #7 car. Two of WWE’s biggest superstars are prominently featured on the hood.
The SummerSlam main event will pit Brock Lesnar against defending Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns in a last man standing fight. Since the show airs on NBCU’s Peacock streaming service, it made sense for a little crossover. The new car looks awesome with its special SummerSlam branding.
Corey LaJoie revealed his new ride in a video posted to Twitter by NASCAR on NBC. He even has his own custom WWE title belt. The side plates feature the Peacock logo.
LaJoie said he is pumped up to take the wheel of the SummerSlam car. In the video, he also hyped up the upcoming WWE event. The big show takes place on July 30th at Nissan Stadium in Nashville.
The Spire Motorsport driver also made his pick for the main event. Corey LaJoie likes Roman Reigns to defend his title at SummerSlam. Brock Lesnar is likely thinking otherwise.
The M&M’s Fan Appreciation 400 takes place on Sunday at the famed Pocono Raceway in Lond Pond, PA. Corey is hoping to ride his new vehicle to the victory circle. Even if he doesn’t, it’s still a very cool Easter egg for WWE fans.
