Miles Bridges is making headlines for a reason that is less than ideal. The NBA star was accused of beating the mother of his children and abusing his kids. He has now turned himself in to authorities and is facing multiple charges.
According to TMZ Sports, the former Charlotte Hornets player is currently facing a felony count of domestic violence and two felony counts of child abuse. The outlet had this to say about the incident.
“… Bridges has been slapped with “one felony count of injuring a child’s parent and two felony counts of child abuse under circumstances or conditions likely to cause great bodily injury or death.”
The NBA player turned himself over to authorities one day after the alleged incident. He ultimately got out after posting $130K bond. L.A. District Attorney George Gascon addressed the charging of Miles in a statement.
“Domestic violence creates physical, mental and emotional trauma that has a lasting impact on survivors. Children who witness family violence are especially vulnerable and the impact on them is immeasurable. Mr. Bridges will be held accountable for his actions and our Bureau of Victim Services will support the survivors through this difficult process.”
Miles and his girlfriend were reportedly involved in a heated argument that turned physical. Mychelle Johnson claimed Miles hit her, which led to her receiving multiple injuries.
