Rapper Trina’s Niece Slain In Miami Shooting

Trina has been called “the most consistent female rapper of all time.” A career that has spanned from the late 90s to today has kept the Miami native at the forefront of rap music. All that success meant nothing when Trina recently received some very sad news.

A report by TMZ revealed that Trina’s niece was shot and killed in Miami recently. The niece was referred to by Trina as Baby Suga. Her murder occurred on Tuesday night.

Sources close to Trina’s family said it was a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Trina’s niece was visiting the area. Law enforcement continues to investigate the circumstances to determine if the shooting was targeted or random.

Two other women were shot during the incident. Their condition is not known. Unfortunately, Trina’s niece did not pull through.

Trina was discovered in 1998 by Trick Daddy. She appeared on his track “Nann N*gga,” which became a Billboard Hot 100 hit. From there, she landed a record deal and has been active ever since.
