Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin recently signed a handsome new contract to stay with the team. After putting up over 1,000 yards over the past two seasons, the franchise rewarded Terry with a three-year extension worth $71 million. McLaurin had every reason to celebrate, and he did so in grand fashion.
TMZ Sports reported that Terry McLaurin took to Miami on Saturday night. There, he partied hard at a nightclub. The owner of the facility even recognized his new deal.
A congratulatory note was written on the club’s video boards. They even had a makeshift helicopter waiting. Patrons of the club cheered wildly as Terry McLaurin partied through the evening.
McLaurin was a third-round pick in the 2019 draft. He was previously making just over the league minimum salary. Now that his hard work has paid off, Terry didn’t hesitate to cash in.
Terry McLaurin racked up 1,053 receiving yards on 77 catches last year. He pulled in five touchdowns. McLaurin didn’t fumble once, and has only done so once in his three-year NFL career.
Now that he has a new deal in place, Terry McLaurin will get ready for training camp. The Commanders, formerly known as the Washington Football Team, kick off camp on July 26. With a week remaining until football starts back up, Terry is happy to have had some time to enjoy the fruits of his labor.
