Floyd Mayweather is known for his massive riches and bank account, and he might add a huge asset to their collection. Mayweather is always trying to make headlines for one reason or the other. He is also under fire from PETA for a good reason.
The legendary boxer recently dropped $18,000 on an authentic mink fur–lined seat for his 2022 Rolls-Royce Cullinan. The boxer purchased the luxury car for $345K+.
According to TMZ Sports, PETA is livid after the boxer purchased the mink fur-lined car seat. PETA called it a “monstrosity.” They also brought up the time Floyd Mayweather was arrested for domestic violence in 2010.
“Did Floyd Mayweather, who has a history of assault and battery of defenseless victims, really seek to update it by supporting an industry that throttles animals to death in addition to poisoning and electrocuting them?” PETA said in a statement.
This man is hardly a role model for compassion and understanding, but to try to make cruelty look attractive to a child could earn him a medal for corrupting the natural kindness of a minor.”
In spite of the scathing statement, PETA is offering to fix its issue with Floyd Mayweather by replacing the car seat with faux fur.
“PETA is calling on Mayweather to take a jab at teaching kindness, not cruelty, by replacing this monstrosity with faux fur, as most designers, department stores, and consumers have — and PETA would be happy to provide it.”
It is not known whether Floyd Mayweather will end up accepting PETA’s offer. Odds are, he really will not care much at all.
