James Caan is one of the most legendary actors in the history of Hollywood. Caan was best known for his role as Sonny Corleone in “The Godfather.” Unfortunately, he passed away at the age of 82, and now we know what took the legend from us.
According to TMZ, James Caan passed away from a combination of serious heart problems. As revealed by his death certificate, James died from a heart attack and coronary artery disease.
The certificate says James also suffered from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, also known as COPD, and congestive heart failure. James died at 9:02 PM at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles.
He was buried at Eden Memorial Park. James Caan starred in several major hit films over the years in addition to his work on The Godfather. He had major roles in “Brian’s Song,” “Misery,” “Bottle Rocket,” and even contemporary movies like “Elf.” His contributions will never be forgotten as well.
