Erika Jayne’s legal troubles continue to mount. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star has been cleared of wrongdoing in some specific lawsuits against her husband, Tom Girardi. However, civil actions appear to be coming at Erika from all angles.
In April, the Edelson PC firm sued Erika Jayne for racketeering and several other serious accusations. Erika was eventually dismissed from that case. As she was returning to Los Angeles from a posh Hawaiian vacation, she was served with a different-but-related lawsuit formally at the airport.
Page Six reported that a woman approached Jayne in the terminal. She walked up to her with a stack of documents. Erika was then informed that she was being served with a lawsuit.
“I just wanted to give you these documents. This is a summons and complaint to serve you.”
The lawsuit accuses Erika Jayne of nine charges of racketeering. She is also accused of conspiracy, unlawful business practices and deceit, and others. Edelson is looking for $50 million in damages.
Erika Jayne has been tied to a criminal case against Tom Girardi involving embezzlement, fraud, and more in a scam that has captivated Real Housewives fans. Thus far, she has avoided prosecution. That doesn’t mean the alleged victims can’t go after her in civil court, and they appear more than ready to do so.
