Joe Burrow led the Cincinnati Bengals on a surprising run to Super Bowl LVI. His team fell just short of championship glory, but with the start of training camp comes a year filled with possibilities. Burrow will miss part of that camp, as he must undergo a minor surgery before kicking things off.
Fortunately, Bengals fans don’t have much to worry about. Burrow is not injured. He will only miss a short time and should be back for the first preseason game.
Ian Rappaport reported that Joe Burrow is having an appendectomy. He will miss some early training camp practices. His absence is not expected to be long-term.
“#Bengals QB Joe Burrow is undergoing surgery to remove his appendix, source said. He’ll miss some practice time but better now than later.”
The Bengals have experienced a renaissance under the young LSU product. Joe Burrow has given the team a spark the likes of which they haven’t seen since the days of Boomer Esiason. The team is working on signing Joe to a long-term deal to make sure they stay on their winning trajectory.
Many NFL fans thought last year’s miraculous Bengals playoff run was a fluke. With Joe Burrow under center, the team doesn’t believe that is the case. Hopefully, Burrow recovers quickly and will be back in training camp before we know it.
