Britney Spears’ Lawyer Confirms She Will Not Give Evidence During Dad’s Trial

Britney Spears is truly living the life after her conservatorship ended last year. She endured a lot in the past 13 years and so, fans were elated to see her being to live her own life finally. She will also not give evidence at her father’s trial.

As previously reported, Britney Spears’ father Jamie Spears previously made it clear that he wants her to sit for a wide-ranging deposition. Fans did not like the idea of this at all.

According to TMZ, Britney Spears’ attorney Mathew Rosengart filed legal documentation in the ongoing legal battle against Jamie Spears, saying the battle will be won with documents, physical evidence and testimony of Jamie. He stated that Britney’s testimony would not be relevant to any legal proceeding.

The lawyer further states that he has no reason to call Britney as a witness if the case ends up in trial. He added that the fact she would not be called as a witness “eviscerates” any reason why she would need to be deposed.

It appears that the lawyer is focusing on alleged malfeasance on the part of Jamie that involves money. Jamie has already been ordered to sit for deposition. We’ll keep you updated on this ongoing story.
