Britney Spears was arguably the most popular pop at one point of her career. Spears gave hits after hits that won her millions of fans around the world. The “Toxic” singer was also embroiled in a lengthy court battle against her father, and that story is still being told.

According to Page Six, a judge on Wednesday ruled Spears will not have to sit for a deposition in her conservatorship case. Her father, Jamie Spears was trying to depose his embattled daughter over her 2021 allegations that he ran an “abusive” conservatorship and her stream of scathing social media posts about him.

Jamie Spears had previously overseen the restrictive 13-year legal arrangement. Britney Spears’ lawyer Matthew Rosengart told the court the singer “feels traumatized by what she went through.”

The judge has previously ruled that Jamie Spears will be required to sit through a deposition. His camp had argued that in order to defend himself, he’d need to likewise depose his famous daughter.
