Hilary Rhoda is best known for her modeling career. She has made some appearances on the big screen as well. After announcing her split with former NHL athlete Sean Avery, the model has officially filed for divorce.
According to TMZ, Rhoda filed for divorce on Tuesday in Los Angeles, citing “irreconcilable differences.” This marks the end of their seven years of marriage, they have been separated since July 17.
Rhoda announced her engagement to a retired National Hockey League player back in late 2013. They married at the Parrish Art Museum in New York in 2015. The former couple welcomed their son, Hollis Avery, on July 28, 2020. He is their only child. The pair began dating in 2010.
The outlet noted custody agreements between them. Despite Rhoda’s desire for physical custody of their kid, the paperwork shows Rhoda having joint legal custody of their two-year-old son with Avery.
Rhoda is a successful international model, she has made several appearances in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issues. Whereas, Avery played 10 seasons in the NHL before retiring in 2012. Since then he has focused full-time on working in the creative industry.
