Seth Meyers was forced to halt production on his show, ‘Late Night,’ back in January after testing positive for COVID-19. Meyers was forced to cancel shows for the rest of the week. Unfortunately, history has repeated itself for the popular talk show host.

The days of COVID shutting down the entire entertainment industry are long in the past. Still, there is an active community spread of the virus. That means production has to halt when a star comes down with the illness.

Meyers has once again tested positive for the virus. This follows Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Kimmel having to cancel shows in May for the same reason. Meyers announced via Twitter.

“After negative tests Monday and Tuesday I tested positive for COVID this morning. Canceling shows the rest of this week. Apologies to our scheduled guests and loyal viewers!”

This week’s slate of guests included some big names. Nathan Lane of ‘Only Murders In The Building’ was among them. Musical guest Maren Morris and comedian Nikki Glasser will both have to reschedule.

Seth Meyers did not offer any information on how he’s currently feeling. Hopefully, he gets over it quickly. Everyone at Thirsty is sending our best for a negative test soon.
