Gwyneth Paltrow remains one of the most popular actresses in Hollywood. The actress is also currently in the forefront of the beauty and wellness industry with her business, Goop. Gwyneth Paltrow has now drawn criticism for her statement that famous parents’ kids must “work twice as hard” to succeed.
The Goop founder recently made an appearance on Hailey Bieber’s “Who’s in My Bathroom” vlog. She talked about her experience growing up with well-known parents. Paltrow is the daughter of late director Bruce Paltrow and actress Blythe Danner. She is also Steven Spielberg’s goddaughter.
As the child of someone, you get access other people don’t have, so the playing field is not level in that way. However, I really do feel that once your foot is in the door, which you unfairly got in, then you almost have to work twice as hard and be twice as good. Because people are ready to pull you down and say, ‘You don’t belong there,’ or, ‘You are only there because of your dad or your mom.’
Fans quickly erupted with their opinions on Twitter. One person wrote, “It’s so wild how out of touch celebrities are.” Another chimed in, “Wait, the lady who sells pseudoscience for a living is out of touch!?” A third one said, “It’s the delusion for me. Ok white lady.”
Hailey Bieber agreed with Paltrow’s message, noting that she needed to hear that. The model hails from a renowned family. Her uncles Alec, William, and Daniel Baldwin are also performers, as is her father, actor Stephen Baldwin. Kennya Baldwin, a Brazilian graphic designer and Stephen’s wife, is her mother.
