Shakira and her partner Gerard Piqué recently split after 11 years together. In 2015, the “Queen of Latin Music” relocated to Barcelona, Spain, to live with the FC Barcelona defender. They share two boys and now with the recent developments, the singer is considering taking kids to Miami.
Piqué allegedly cheated on the Colombian singer, which was the primary cause of their break-up. It turns out Shakira knew a lot of dirty secrets that her ex was hiding. In fact, she strong-armed that knowledge to make Piqué agree with relocating the kids.
According to Marca, the FC Barcelona defender is playing nice to avoid getting exposed. He is now reached agreement with the singer to let Milan, 9, and Sasha, 7, to reside in Miami, Florida. Piqué also sent her ex a sweet message regarding this move.

The “Waka Waka” singer is scheduled to meet with her ex next week to discuss their children’s custody. It was noted that Piqué agreed to sign the custody agreement on two conditions. The non-negotiable stipulations include Piqué guaranteeing five first-class tickets per year to see their children in Miami, as well as a $400k loan to pay off a debt.
Shakira is also set to face a tax fraud trial in Spain as she recently rejected a plea deal to settle the case. She is accused of defrauding Spain’s government of 14.5 million euros ($15 million) in taxes. Her choice to leave Spain coincides with this, which may jeopardize her case.
