After a few days after testing negative for COVID-19 and appearing to be entering the recovery lane with any sickness in the rearview, President Biden has once more caught the virus. This is definitely not the year for Mr. President.
President Biden revealed on Saturday that he had tested positive for the virus once more. He wrote to Twitter, “Folks, today I tested positive for COVID again. This happens with a small minority of folks. I’ve got no symptoms but I am going to isolate for the safety of everyone around me. I’m still at work, and will be back on the road soon.”
His White House doctor, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, added a little more depth and detail to the announcement by releasing a letter that elaborated on Biden’s new case.
According to Dr. O’Connor, this could be described as a “rebound” effect and occurs in only a limited percentage of COVID patients who are treated with Paxlovid which is likely to be the drug POTUS was given to assist with the symptoms and virus.
In his letter, the doctor also claims that although Biden tested negative on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, a Saturday morning antigen test came positive. “The President has experienced no reemergence of symptoms, and continues to feel quite well,” Dr. O’Connor wrote.
The letter further reads, “This being the case, there is no reason to reinitiate treatment at this time, but we will obviously continue close observation.”
President Biden made his official return to work earlier this week and made a public appearance in the Rose Garden. Additionally, he had assured the media that he was “feeling great” and eager to get back to work.
We hope he recovers soon and can return to work as planned. Stay tuned To Thirsty for more updates!
