Black Eyed Peas are known for their classic tunes and still hold a huge cultural position even decades later. The band was headlining LooseFest in Newcastle when they were suddenly faced with a difficult situation.
Newcastle World reports that Will.I.Am, the band’s frontman and singer-songwriter, paused their performance in the middle of the set after they found a fan who was going through distress. The star stopped the performance while they were in the middle of performing ‘GIRL LIKE ME.’
The singer spotted the fan and asked fans to cooperate as the medics made their way to the fan. He urged the fans to make way and allowed for the medics to perform due diligence on the distressed fan. The star then thanked the first responders.
Thank you for participating and clearing the way, so we could bring that person to safety. And the first responders thank you guys so much – that’s the love.
Black Eyed Peas headlined the show, which has been dubbed the North East’s ‘biggest ever music festival.’ Other stars who also performed in the show were Clean Bandit, Patrick Topping, Paul Woolford, Jess Bays, Dimitri from Paris, Belters Only and Roger Sanchez.
