According to People, the comedian has moved on with his life even before the apology video from Friday. A source close to the comedian noted that he finds it unnecessary to speak with the actor. He also said that Will Smith needs to deal with his issues first.

Chris doesn’t need to talk. This is clearly something that bothers Will more than Chris. Will needs to deal with his issues. Chris is fine.

Chris Rock mocked the incident and made jokes about it after the King Richard actor released his apology video. The source said this is a healthy sign and the aftermath of the incident has not taken over the comedian’s life.

The fact that he is making jokes about it already is a good thing. That means he is assessing it. But the stress of the slap and the aftermath has not taken over his life. Quite the opposite.
