Kristin Cavallari’s rise in popularity has been documented for years. She first rose to fame in 2004, as a cast member on the popular MTV reality television series, Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County. Kristin Cavallari recently acknowledged that she cancelled her engagement to Jay Cutler for a while because she was unable to “ignore red flags.”
The former NFL quarterback wanted her to be a stay-at-home parent, which she blamed at the time so that she could “move on.” However the “Hills” actress admitted on a recent episode of the “Call Her Daddy” podcast that the cause of the brief breakup was “so much bigger than” that.
Basically I called off the engagement [for] the same reason I got a divorce, and so I guess if there’s any takeaway from that is you can’t ignore red flags. People don’t change, and you’ve got to trust your gut.
In her 2016 autobiography, “Balancing in Heels,” the reality star claimed that she had delayed the wedding because Cutler envisioned himself being the main provider and his wife staying at home. The co-host of the “Back to the Beach” podcast reflected on her ultimate divorce from the athlete, saying it took her a few years to finally pull the trigger and that making the decision to do so was very scary.
Cavallari filed for divorce even if there may not have been one big revelation that prompted her to do so. She said that she was very miserable and in a unhealthy relationship, which she did not want her children to think was normal. The creator of Uncommon James said that having three children from the union, sons Camden and Jaxon and daughter Saylor means she has absolutely nothing to regret at all and she is grateful for their time together.
