Will Smith shocked the world when slapped Chris Rock at the Oscars this year. Smith was mad that Rock made fun of Jada Smith’s medical condition in front of the world. He apologized for his actions but it was too little, too late. Now, his daughter, Willow, is coming to his defense.

Will Smith’s daughter, Willow Smith, recently commented on her father’s actions. Willow defended the now-infamous moment during an interview with Billboard.

“I see my whole family as being human, and I love and accept them for all their humanness. Because of the position that we’re in, our humanness sometimes isn’t accepted, and we’re expected to act in a way that isn’t conducive to a healthy human life and isn’t conducive to being honest.”

Chris Rock did not directly respond to the actor’s apology. However, he did continue to make jokes about the infamous Oscars incident. He also said he went to work the next day after the incident.
