Travis Scott’s first night of his Astroworld concert in Houston ended in tragedy, which resulted in the deaths of 10 people after the crowd could not be contained and fans were crushed. More than 300 other people also suffered injuries. Months after the tragedy, Travis performed at his first arena show, however things did not go without a hitch.
TMZ reported at the concert, Kylie Jenner and daughter Stormi were all about Travis Scott’s amazing concert Saturday night in London. His headline gig at London’s O2 Arena on August 6th was also one of his first major performances overall after 10 people were killed at his music festival in a deadly crowd surge in Houston, Texas last year.
While announcing the show on his social media in June, Travis said at the time that he was leaving the studio to “take it to [a] bigger speaker.” The rapper performed with the support of partner Kylie Jenner and their four-year-old daughter Stormi, who have joined him in the British capital.
However, one individual in the crowd took the opportunity to throw an object at Scott while he was performing early on in his set. Travis was clearly upset by the incident. It was reportedly a heavy item, as a loud bang was heard as it made contact with the floor.
The controversial rapper was said to be unimpressed and annoyed by the incident, but carried on with his show without interruption, avoiding its distraction. Travis acknowledged K&S were in the crowd, and then dedicated “Mamacitas” to his daughter. You can check it all out below.
It looks like Travis Scott’s first huge show since that tragedy ended up being a success. Only time will tell what’s next for him, but he has not announced his intentions to hold another Astroworld Festival.
