Britney Spears suffered for 13 years due to her conservatorship, and fans continued to support her no matter what. However, Britney recently responded after the Santa Monica church recently made a claim that she didn’t even ask about choosing it as the venue for her wedding.
On Monday, Britney took to Instagram to fire back at the allegations in a caption of her post. She described the procedure and how she actually went to inquire about the venue to celebrate her wedding to Sam Asghari after the church claimed that the singer didn’t visit or ask for it in a statement to TMZ.
The Blackout singer added that she hired a wedding planner, and she sent him pictures of the church when she was organizing everything for her special day with Sam. “I hired a wedding planner who has done Madonna’s wedding and plenty more.” she wrote in her caption.
“He was extremely expensive and yes my first request was to get married in that church pictured,” she wrote. “I was told 6 weeks later… I could not get married there.”
Britney also wrote that, apart from the wedding, she had intended to visit the church but was told not to “due to the pandemic.” She appeared irritated by the church’s response, yet she seemed to easily dismiss it.
“It’s not a big deal, but I don’t like being called a liar when their church says I never asked.”
On August 2nd, Britney wrote on Instagram about the church being her initial ideal location. She wrote that she wished to visit, but was unable to do so because of COVID-19. She went on to say that because of her religion, the church had denied her wedding plans. Stay tuned to Thirsty for more updates.
