Ex NFL Player Frank Gore Charged With Assault

Retired running back Frank Gore, who played for the San Francisco 49ers for most of his career, is considered an NFL legend. However, Gore has now made headlines for all the wrong reasons.

It seems that Gore has been charged with assault, with the police claiming that the former running back was involved in a domestic violence incident, involving a 28-year-old woman.

TMZ reports that the Atlanta City Police Department, the incident in question took place on the 31st of July, around 8:11 in the morning. The police did not reveal the woman’s identity, but stated that she “did not exhibit signs of injury and complaints were not filed at the time.”

After an investigation was performed, the police decided to charge Gore with simple assault “related to the domestic violence incident,” instead of charging him with domestic violence.

According to court records, Gore is due for a court hearing in October. No further details regarding the case have been revealed at the moment. We will continue monitoring this story here at Thirsty.
