Olivia Wilde Chastises Ex Jason Sudeikis for Serving Papers Aggressively

Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis appeared to be a happy pair in 2020. Unfortunately, after nine years together, the two decided to split in November and since they have had tension amongst each other. Olivia Wilde recently chastised ex-Jason Sudeikis for serving the papers most aggressively.

When Olivia Wilde was publicly served with legal documents during a panel in April, she felt ex-partner Jason Sudeikis was attempting to aggressively embarrass and “threaten” her.

According to new court filings obtained by the Daily Mail, Wilde claimed that Sudeikis employed “outrageous legal tactics.”

“Jason’s actions were clearly intended to threaten me and catch me off guard. He could have served me discreetly, but instead he chose to serve me in the most aggressive manner possible.”

The “Booksmart” filmmaker went on to say that Sudeikis was trying to air their personal troubles in public in a way that was unfair to their two children, Otis and Daisy.

“The fact that Jason would embarrass me professionally and put our personal conflict on public display in this manner is extremely contrary to our children’s best interests. Since Jason has made it clear that we will not be able to work this out for our children’s sake outside of the court system, I filed a petition for custody in Los Angeles.”

The “Ted Lasso” actress famously presented Wilde with child custody documents while she was on stage in front of roughly 4,000 people at CinemaCon. Wilde was mortified and perplexed, according to Page Six at the time.

“Olivia was confused when she was handed the envelope, and she was even more confused when she opened it. It seemed unthinkable to her, and it took a moment to set in, but as mortifying as it was, she did not want to give a reaction.”

A source close to Sudeikis, however, added that he “had no previous knowledge of the time or place that the envelope would have been delivered…… and he would never condone [Wilde] being served in such an unsuitable manner.”

Sudeikis and Wilde had been co-parenting their children since their engagement and breakup in 2020, but the actor opted to fight for custody when the couple couldn’t agree on a permanent city to raise their children in.

According to court documents, Wilde claimed that the couple agreed to send their children to school in Los Angeles for the upcoming school year because Sudeikis was scheduled to film the last season of “Ted Lasso” in London.

“Recently, however, Jason decided that he wanted to go to New York for the next year while he is not working, and wanted the children to be with him there during this time off. When I did not agree, since the children have not lived in New York for several years, Jason filed these papers.”

Sudeikis responded in court, claiming that their Brooklyn house has always been the family’s permanent residence and that Wilde is trying to pull a fast one by suggesting their children live in Los Angeles. “For better or worse, I am a New Yorker,” Sudeikis said in the filing, adding that raising their children in Brooklyn was best for them.

He went on to say that he was hesitant to take legal action against Wilde because he was afraid she would take their children away from him after she allegedly told him she would only let him see their children on weekends and vacations if he didn’t move to LA permanently, and that she also allegedly had plans to relocate to London, where her boyfriend, Harry Styles, lives.

Sudeikis went on to say that the legal documents were meant to be delivered to Wilde at an airport or a hotel. After numerous failed attempts, she was tracked down at the event by a tweet in which the process server handed her the classified envelope.

“I understand that the process server had only done her job; however, I deeply regret what happened. Olivia’s talk was an important event for Olivia, both professionally and personally, and I am very, very sorry that the incident marred her special moment.”

Since January 2021, Styles and Wilde have been dating. In the meantime, Sudeikis is in a relationship with model Keeley Hazell. However, the ongoing debate between the ex-couple is a bit convoluted. What are your thoughts on this ex-couple? Stay tuned to Thirsty for more information.
