Taylor Swift & Joe Alwyn Are ‘Excited About Their Future’ After More Than 5 Years Together

Taylor Swift’s love story appears to have a happy ending. Swift has been in a relationship with Joe Alwyn for over five years. The pair is still going strong and is thrilled about their future.

More than five years into their relationship, Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn “have the best of all worlds,” a source exclusively reveals in the latest Us Weekly issue. “They love dividing their time between England and Nashville,” the insider said, noting, “That’s the way they both like it.” The “Lover” singer and the British actor were first linked in 2017, with news of their relationship breaking in May of that year.

Since they met, the two have managed to keep their private relationship low-key and mostly under wraps. According to the insider, the Grammy winner and Conversations With Friends star’s resolve to maintain their independence despite their romance has only strengthened them as a couple.

“Once Taylor and Joe started dating it became apparent to both of them that they were happiest doing their own thing in a low-key way.”

“That was a big reason why they bonded.”

Swift and Alwyn are “wildly happy together and are excited about their future together,” the source adds. Since they started dating in early 2017, not much has changed between them. A different insider told the outlet in October of that year that the “Look What You Made Me Do” singer had a “very normal” romance with Alwyn.

Swift has mostly kept her love life private, particularly when it comes to the Mary Queen of Scots actor. However, in her January 2020 Netflix documentary, Miss Americana, she hinted at Alywn when describing falling for someone special. “I was falling in love with someone who had a wonderfully normal, balanced life,” she said in the film.

“We decided together we wanted our relationship to be private. I was happy. But I wasn’t happy in the way I was trained to be happy. It was happiness without anyone else’s input. We were just happy.”

According to a third insider who spoke exclusively to the outlet, the pair “have talked about their future and marriage.” According to the insider, the twosome, who have collaborated on music over the years, “don’t have a set deadline in place, but they’re very much in love.”
