Drake is a veteran musician, and he knows his worth more than anyone else ever could understand. The Canadian rapper has amassed millions of fans across the globe, his dad Dennis Graham being one of them. Drake recently used his influence to give a huge shoutout to a talented painter.
Drake changed his profile picture this week, flipping the script for his 119 million Instagram followers in a move that even the portrait’s creator found unexpected. Siphesihle PM, a South African artist, recently told TMZ Hip Hop that he drew huge inspiration from Drake’s most recent album, “Honestly, Nevermind.”
His inspiration partially came from the fact that the album was produced by his hometown hero, Black Coffee. On June 18th, a day after Drake released “Honestly Nevermind,” Black Coffee contributed two songs to the album. Siphesihle immediately started working on the oil painting, adding elements like Drizzy’s diamond ring and finger wave braids.

Siphesihle woke up to texts that Drake had posted his work. He had not given it a second thought for nearly two months and had carried on painting as usual. The fact that Drake offered Siphesihle the opportunity to share his work on his profile and IG stories is what Siphesihle refers to as “an honor and huge accomplishment.”
Drake’s 11th No. 1 album, “Honestly Nevermind,” debuted at the top of the charts. He is currently riding the wave after dropping the “Sticky” video last week while driving Virgil Abloh’s specially constructed Maybach. Check out the artwork post below,
