Anne Heche made headlines after her car crashed into a home in California. The actress suffered severe burns as a result of the horrific car wreck. Following a brain damage sustained in the catastrophic incident, Anne Heche has been formally pronounced brain-dead and will be taken off life support.
Heche passed away at the age of 53-years-old, according to a close friend. Her career will forever be celebrated, and her passing will always be a tragic one.
Nancy Davis wrote on Instagram: “Heaven has a new Angel. My loving, kind, fun, endearing and beautiful friend @anneheche went to heaven. I will miss her terribly and cherish all the beautiful memories we have shared.
“Anne was always the kindest, most thoughtful person who always brought out the best in me … My heart is broken.”
According to Heche’s desires, the 53-year-old actress will remain on a ventilator to see if any of her remaining organs are still healthy enough to be donated. She is in a severe state and in a coma. LAPD sources confirmed to TMZ that a blood test revealed the actress had cocaine and potentially fentanyl in her system at the time of the collision. According to a statement issued on behalf of Heche’s family and friends, the August 5 incident left her with a serious anoxic brain injury.
She was being treated at the Grossman Burn Center at West Hills Hospital, north of Los Angeles. Such damage is brought on by a persistent deficiency in oxygen to the brain. As her loved ones prepared to remove her from life support following her car accident last week in Los Angeles, Hollywood co-stars and friends have posted touching remarks about the actress Anne Heche, calling her a wonderful artist and mother.
Heche’s “13 Minutes” co-star Peter Facinelli and other coworkers paid homage to the Emmy Award winner as news of her sluggish recovery continued to get worse. “Praying for you and your beautiful family.” In a statement to the Daily Mail, Heche’s ex-boyfriend James Tupper expressed his “thoughts and “prayers” for Heche.
Anne had a huge heart and touched everyone she met with her generous spirit. More than her extraordinary talent, she saw spreading kindness and joy as her life’s work – especially moving the needle for acceptance of who you love. She will be remembered for her courageous honesty and dearly missed for her light.
Heche was described by Tupper, who dated the actress from 2007 until 2018, as “one of the true talents of her generation.” Anne Heche first came to recognition for portraying twins Vicky Hudson and Marley Love on the soap opera Another World, which won her a Daytime Emmy Award and two Soap Opera Digest Awards. The talented actress will be greatly missed. RIP.
