Goldberg is a legend for many fans and he is also a WWE Hall of Famer. The former WWE Universal Champion might not have been a fan of pro wrestling at first but eventually came to love it. He is also done apologizing for what he did to Bret Hart.
WWE Hall Of Famer Bret Hart had bitter feelings about Goldberg for several years. This is because Bret Hart suffered a concussion after Goldberg hit him with a botched kick during a match at Starrcade in 1999.
Due to this, Bret Hart suffered post-concussion syndrome, which forced him to prematurely hang up his pro wrestling boots. Bret Hart went on record and said that Goldberg’s work rate was “0/10.”
While speaking on Talk is Jericho, Goldberg talked about Bret Hart continuing to criticize him publicly for the injury. Goldberg made it clear that he is done saying sorry for the injury.
“Yeah, but I get it. I mean, I understand to a point. But I’m like yeah, 100%. Bret Hart is still up here, man. He’s an idol to anybody and everybody who would have ever been in this business. I’m a human being like everybody else. There was absolutely no malicious intent whatsoever. None. Zero. So does it bother me? Yeah. I’ll take it to my grave.
But also, I gotta say, man. I am kinda at a turning point. I am done saying I’m sorry. I have said it a million times. I am not gonna continue to tear myself down. I’m done. I said I’m sorry. If he can’t accept my apology, it is what it is. You gotta move on. And I’ve moved on. So I won’t be breaching this subject too much more.”
We wonder how the wrestling would have been different had Bret Hart still been able to wrestle. Regardless, Bret Hart had previously forgiven Goldberg for what he did as well but that doesn’t mean Hart still won’t harbor a grudge. Goldberg wants to move on, but Hart might not.
