Michelle Branch Arrested For Domestic Violence Following Split From Husband

Michelle Branch and Patrick Carney married in front of friends and family at the Marigny Opera House in New Orleans in April 2019. The musicians recently announced their split following cheating allegations. Fast-forward to years later, and Michelle has now been arrested for slapping Patrick in the face.

Branch was arrested on accusations of slapping her estranged husband, Patrick Carney, in the face. This happened as a result of her claim that he cheated on her. According to docs from Nashville, police were called to their home on Thursday around 2 a.m. for a possible domestic disturbance.

According to TMZ, Michelle acknowledged slapping Patrick in the face “one to two times.” Patrick had no obvious injuries, and Michelle was arrested. Her bail was set at $1,000, and it appears that she was released from custody early because she is breastfeeding the couple’s 6-month-old.

Branch and Carney are splitting after three years of marriage. On Thursday, she talked about it with the outlet and shared her feelings.

“To say that I am totally devastated doesn’t even come close to describing how I feel for myself and for my family. The rug has been completely pulled from underneath me and now I must figure out how to move forward. With such small children, I ask for privacy and kindness.”
