Jay-Z and Beyoncé are quite possibly the most successful power couple in the music industry. They are both incredible talents in their own rights, and when put together, they are a force to be reckoned with.
Considering her parentage, it should come as no surprise that Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s daughter, Blue Ivy is already making a mark in the music industry. The ten-year-old has just received her first gold record plaques.
Gold plaques are awarded to artists by the Recording Industry Association of America, upon selling either half a million units of an album, or a million units of a single.
Little Blue Ivy has bagged two gold plaques for her contribution to Beyoncé’s song, “Blue,” off of her 2013 self-titled album, and for featuring on the track “Brown Skin Girl,” alongside SAINt JHN and Wizkid.
This is not even the first time the little wonder has achieved something this impressive, as she already has a Grammy under her wing, also for “Brown Skin Girl.” It seems that the future is bright for Blue Ivy, and there’s nowhere to go but onwards and upwards. Check out the aforementioned tracks below.
